Located in Southeast Iowa, The Ottumwa Amateur Radio Club (OARC) is dedicated to the advancement of “Ham Radio”. Founded in 1962, the OARC is a “general-purpose” club for anyone interested in ham radio.
Ottumwa ham operators were holding meetings as early as 1948 and Ottumwa Amateur Radio Club incorporated in 1962.
Through the years OARC members have devoted time and resources to planning and providing communications support for the annual Ottumwa Oktoberfest Parade and Wapello County’s Susan G. Komen “Race for the Cure.”
